 Danny Kaye's first starring movie role was the story of a hypochondriac GI. Dinah played his hopeful girl friend, an Army nurse in the service, but Danny is in love with another nurse. Dinah sang "Tess' Torch Song" in a dream sequence. Directed by Elliott Nugen

 This movie with an all star cast from  MGM was based loosely on the life of songwriter Jerome Kern. Dinah sang "The Last Time I Saw Paris." Directed by Richard Whorf




BELLE OF THE YUKON

In this musical comedy starring Dinah, Randolph Scott, Gypsy Rose Lee, and William Marshall Dinah played Lettie, who sings in the local saloon owned by her father. She's in love with the pianist whom her father suspects is a scoundrel. She sang "Sleigh Ride in July" and "Like Someone in Love." Directed by William A. Seiter



AARON SLICK FROM PUNKIN CRICK

 Paramount - Technicolor
Co-starring with Alan Young, Robert Merrill, and Adele Jergens, Dinah played Josie, a country girl who tried to help Aaron  from being swindled by a con man.. She sang several original songs: "Life Is a Beautiful Thing", "Marshmallow Moon" and "Why Can't I Believe in Love?" Directed by Claude Binyon
